HELLO.

KCSD PGA is Kenton County School District's Professional Growth Academy for teachers and staff.  Each summer Kenton County employees gather to learn from the best, our very own colleagues.  Professional development sessions are created and focused around district goals and initiatives to move students to college and career readiness.  While teachers, consultants and administrators lead most of the work, area organizations, universities, and other community partners share their knowledge to impact student learning.

For PGA 2019 we are continuing our focus of Cycle of Quality Instruction.  It is exciting to have so many teacher and department leaders sharing the work that they are doing every day in their classrooms and departments to increase student achievement.

This year we also welcome three Keynote Speakers.  Plan to attend each morning to hear these informative sessions from:

  • Tuesday - Dr, Henry Webb,  Superintendent of the Kenton County School DIstrict.

  • Wednesday - Alissa Parker,  Co-founder of Safe and Sound Schools and mother of Emilie Parker who passes away in the Sandy Hood tragedy.

  • Thursday - Kathleen Budge - co-author (with William Parrett) of the 2012 award-winning book Turning High-Poverty Schools into High-Performing Schools
